Courtney Castiglione
Village Elementary PTO President
2025–2026

As I reflect on the 2025–2026 school year, my heart is incredibly full.

Serving as President of the Village Elementary PTO has been one of the greatest honors—not just as a volunteer, but first and foremost as a mom to Saylor, Isla, and Krew.

As a girl from one-island community, immersing myself in this close-knit school has been one of my most meaningful and favorite accomplishments. There is something truly special about Village Elementary—the warmth of the families, the dedication of the staff, and the joy that fills our campus each day. It is a place where community isn’t just a word, it’s something you feel the moment you walk through the gates.

This year would not have been possible without the incredible people who stood beside me. To our amazing board—thank you for your time, your creativity, your flexibility, and your constant support. You brought not only your talents, but your hearts, and together we created something truly special. To each of our event chairs and volunteers, thank you for helping lead this year with so much care—and yes, with just the right amount of glitter to make everything sparkle for our kids.

Because of your generosity through PTO membership and your support of our events, together we were able to accomplish so much:

  • Purchase new curtains that will last a decade and bring Village Hall back to life

  • Host a highly successful Jogathon that allowed us to contribute toward a new upper playground for Village—coming soon

  • Provide field trip and experience funding, fulfill two Amazon wish lists for multiple staff members, and continue monthly teacher appreciation

  • Create consistent monthly community events that bring us together as one town, one team

  • Welcome our new marquee, used for birthday shout-outs and important school announcements

To our teachers and staff, thank you for the endless energy, patience, and love you pour into our children every single day. You are the foundation of everything we do.

And to our families—thank you for trusting me, supporting our efforts, and showing up in ways big and small. Your involvement is what makes our school thrive.

While I have had the privilege of serving as your President, my most important role will always be being a mom within this community. That perspective has guided every decision and every moment this year. As I return as President for the 2026–2027 school year, I hope you will continue to join us and become a PTO member so we can make our Village the strongest it can be.

I am so proud of what we accomplished together, and even more excited for what’s ahead. I can’t wait to see all the magic we can create again next year.

“It takes a village,”
